Well, Undertale has only been out for about four months, and it has won Best Game Ever, surpassing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Undertale truly is one of the greatest indie games of all time, the writing, unique battle system, relatable characters, and its overall feel make it stand out. But really none of that would be as effective if it weren't for the music. Undertale has one of the best soundtracks of any other game, hell I'll vouch and say it's on par with the Explorers soundtrack! So I decided to list off my eleven favorite tracks from this beautiful game, though there were so many more I wished I could've put on here (and yeah I'm adding one more because of how great this game is.)

Oh yeah, and I guess spoilers, but if you haven't played Undertale at this point what the hell are you waiting for?

11. Dogsong (Annoying Dog's Theme)
Yeah I know I could've put any number of tracks here, but the reason this one sticks out is because it is a representation of Toby's trollish nature. As sad and heart wrenching this game is, we also can't forget how fun and humorous it is, and this song reminds us on how this game makes us laugh and cry.

10.  Another Medium (Hotland's Theme)
When you're going to be traversing an area for a long period of time, you need to make sure the music is good enough so that they player won't mind listening to it over and over. Hotland's music is really the only that came to mind when thinking of areas (well besides the ruins) and it's catchy and uplifting enough to make you want to keep going.

9. Heartache (Toriel's Theme)
Sounding like something right out a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game, Undertale's first boss track doesn't disappoint. Toriel's theme truly lives up to its namesake, especially for first time players who don't want to hurt their goat mom but feel there is no other way. With powerful sweeping chords, this song will tug at your heart strings and I'M SORRY GOAT MOM I DIDN'T MEAN TO KILL YOU ON MY FIRST PLAY THROUGH HONEST ;;;W;;;

8. Spear of Justice (Undyne's Theme)
This theme truly captures Undyne's nature, very powerful, very bold and brash. Though the first part of the song is better than the later half, in an epic fight against the warrior fish this theme sets up for the big fight head. With very strong enforcing tones, this theme invigorates while sending spears down your spine.

7. Bonetrousle (Papyrus' Theme)
This was the theme that made me fall in love with the game. Papyrus is one of my favorite characters, he completely subverted my expectations. His theme is so much fun, so joyous and bouncy, kind of like the skeleton himself. The only reason its not any higher is because of how short it is, but Bonetrousle shows Undertale at its finest.

6. Death By Glamour (Mettaton EX's theme)
Have I mentioned that Mettaton is a wonderful character? Well he is. The definition of glamorous, and always willing to put on a show, he reminds me of Prince Poppycock from America's Got Talent. Death by Glamour expertly mixes all of Mettaton's themes together into one spectacular track that perfectly demonstrates the showtastic battle against the ghost robot's true form.

5. Dummy! (Mad Dummy's Theme)
Oh man, I love this theme. A fast paced, jazz-swing song that energizes you and makes you want to dance. Though the Mad Dummy wasn't too big of a challenge, this theme has so many beats I always want to perform synchronized moves to it. A theme I can listen to over and over, it's one of the snazziest themes in the game.

4. Spider Dance (Muffet's Theme)
Yeah we all knew this one would be on here. Even though Muffet's not as important as the other bosses, Toby provides all of the bosses with epic music. I compare this song to a Bollywood production, and it's no wonder it's so popular. With rising and falling bridges, and a very dance-worthy beat to it, Spider Dance will make all the spiders in your house dance!

3. Bergentrückung/ASGORE (Asgore's Theme)
Okay I have to smack myself for not including this on the list earlier. I haven't played the Neutral Ending in a while so I had mostly forgotten it, but when I did, I remembered how powerful this theme is. It's a song of finality, of the end of the road, and the hardships you've taken to get to this point. With Bergentrückung leading into Asgore's theme, with beautiful piano accompaniment with a heartbreaking conclusion, this theme perfectly suits the pseudo-end of the game.

2. Hopes and Dreams (Asriel Dreemur's Pacifist Theme)
I think this comment says it the best; "I have reached the pinnacle of existence when I heard this song." Asriel's final boss fight is not only tragic, but full of the hope and determination you've accumulated throughout the game. It's the epiphany of the light shining through the darkness, the story of the fall of the young prince, and his redemption. One of the best tracks in the entire game, Hopes and Dreams never fails to bring tears to my eyes.

1.  Megalovania (Sans' Genocide Theme)
Yeah this had to be number one. I know this track is one of Toby's staples, but that doesn't make it any less epic. As a theme for Sans, who confronts you after all of the horrible things you did during the Genocide run, this theme takes you through the rollercoaster that is you. The most powerful track in the game, it makes you shiver with resentment and fear for your own SOUL, and makes you reflect on your past sins. Everything about this track is epic, powerful and perfectly suited for a boss that will beat you into the ground over and over.

Well that's my Top 11, what are your favorite tracks from this game? Leave a comment below with your ten best music moments of Undertale!
