EDIT: I've decided to update this list as I play more games.

Now I have a PS4, my opportunity to play more games has been opened up, so this list might shift every now and again :)

Yeah I decided to forgo the Top 5, since I've been playing more games lately I decided to make a Top 10! So, which of these ten are your favorite? Have you played any of them? If not, what are you doing with your life?

1. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky - One of the most underrated gems of the Pokémon series, Sky comes together to form a wonderful adventure filled with heart, and it'll leave you sobbing at the end.

2. Undertale - A game that defines its genre, this EarthBound inspired RPG is masterfully woven with an amazingly written story, characters dripping with personality, powerful emotional resonance, a memorable soundtrack, as well as self-awareness that make it one of the greatest games of all time.

3. Persona 5: Royal - With wonderful music, improved combat, a classy style and providing loads of new content that will satisfy fan and newcomer alike, Persona 5 Royal makes an already perfect game so much better and is up there as one of the most polished JRPGs ever made.

4. Dark Souls - Despite its reputation as a "hard game," Dark Souls' tough-but-fair combat, complex and oppressive environments, and endless customization options provides a game that challenges you but instills the drive to stand back up when you get knocked down and keep pushing forward.

5. Nier: Automata - Nier: Automata is a masterpiece—with fluid combat and bullet-hell sections being mere icing on a game that fully embraces themes of existentialism, disillusionment, and ultimately what it truly means to be alive.

6. Saints Row 2 - A sandbox crime-game loaded with activities ranging from streaking, spraying sewage and robbing liquor stores in a completely consequence-free environment, Saints Row 2 is the definition of pure mindless fun.

7. Stardew Valley - A humble little farming/life simulator that can absorb you if you let it, gives you a list of things to do with freedoms of which to complete it, and provides enough content to leave you coming back for more.

8. Portal 2 - The perfect sequel to a perfect game, Portal 2 retains the humor of the first game while building up on what makes the series so great.

9. Resident Evil 4 - One of history's most influential games: Resident Evil's turn to action-focused horror manages to be creepy and tense while still being campy and over the top, making it one of the finest crafted experiences of all time.

10. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo proves they can do anything they set their minds to by setting Hyrule in a fresh explorative open world filled to the brim with secrets, puzzles, and character that makes adventuring through the wild so much fun.

Formerly on the list

11. Yakuza: Like A Dragon - A turned based take on Yakuza, Like a Dragon has a likeable group of characters, interesting combat that's very customizable, and a city filled with fun side quests, collectable secrets and loads of enjoyable distractions to keep you sucked in.

12. BioShock Infinite - An engaging tale that puts a fast-paced modern shooter in an environment that is both visually stunning and dripping with narrative, with an ending that will really stick with you.    `

13. Persona 5 - Combining dungeon crawling and JRPG combat alongside an intriguing story with deep and likeable characters, along with really good music, Persona 5 manages to create an hours-long experience that's hard to forget.

14. The Walking Dead - Strung throughout five episodes is a truly emotional roller coaster filled with real characters that grabs your heartstrings and refuses to let go during the entire heart-breaking journey.

15. EarthBound - A JRPG that is both serious and humorous at the same time, EarthBound is like looking at America (and other RPGs) through a fun-house mirror, and never loses its quirkiness or charm.

16. Portal - Humorous, intelligent, challenging, and filled with engaging puzzles and clever dialogue, Portal is perhaps one of the most perfect games ever made.

17. Splatoon - A third person multiplayer shooter that only Nintendo could've made; Splatoon is a unique take on the genre and provides us with endlessly replayable chaotic splatterhouse fun.

18. Papers, Please - This indie game managed the impossible: making paperwork fun and morally tense at the same time.

19. Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story - A great addition to the Mario & Luigi series with improved gameplay elements, but what really sells it is that we get to explore Bowser as a character, both inside and outside.

20. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Zelda at it's finest, Twilight Princess takes the formula we're all familiar with and crafts an engaging beautiful story with it; also Link can turn into a wolf, which is awesome.
