"My lord," said a Delibird, one of heaven's messengers. Arceus looked down, "Tell me, is it true?" The Delibird nodded sadly. "It's true, Giratina is building an army." Arceus looked worried at the sky. "Ever since those galactic waves shot towards Earth, Giratina has been acting off…" he said. "We believe those waves may have corrupted Giratina sir, it no longer complies with us and it has been acting irrationally. Even worse, it is hiding in the Spirit World, and no living being can travel there," said the Delibird. Arceus continued to stare into the horizon. "What about the five mentioned in the prophecy? Are they here yet?" The Delibird shook his head, taking out an old book. He started flipping through the pages. "Sir, the five whom were mentioned aren't supposed to die until old age. They are still very young." Arceus snapped his head, "What?! We do not have time to waste! They must be brought here immediately." "What do we suggest we do?" asked the Delibird. Arceus thought for a moment. "There is no other choice. We must cut their lives short. Take them out. All of them."

"Ah, what a beautiful day." Damien the Grovyle had been looking forward to this trip for a long time. School had him pulling the grass blade on his
head. He finally had a weekend where there was no project or homework due to go camping with his friends. "You got the tent set up yet Adam?" he asked the Ursaring, who was struggling to get the tent set up. "Why don't you help me Mr. Lazybutt?" asked Adam. Damien snickered, "Well I'm busy making sure the lake doesn't run away." Adam rolled his eyes, "Ha-ha very funny." Damien and Adam had been best friends for years. "Come on Adam, it's not that hard," said an Absol, offering her paws to help Adam. "At least your girlfriend has a heart!" Adam called to Damien. Violet was Damien's Absol girlfriend. Damien lay back in his chair and smiled, he hoped things would stay like this for a long time. "There! I finally got it!" said Adam. Damien got up from his chair, "Great, what's for dinner?" Violet looked down ashamed. "I, um, forgot to uh…bring the food…" she mumbled. Adam slapped his forehead, "That's great! The nearest food store is an hour away! What are we gonna eat?" Damien smiled and held up his fishing rod, "How's about I catch us some dinner?" Adam rolled his eyes, "I'm driving," he said and started heading towards the truck. "I should go to," said Violet, "I don't want him eating all of the food before we get back," she said. "Don't you wanna stay and help me land a big one," Damien said playfully. Violet giggled and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be back soon baby." They exchanged a hug and Violet followed Adam to the car. The Grovyle smiled as he sat in his chair, baited his hook, cast his line, placed the fishing rod on the bank and laid back and fell asleep.

Damien, we need you. You and four others will join us and help us defeat the Dark Army…

Damien awoke with a start to the fishing pole being jerked forward. He jumped up and grabbed the fishing pole. "Oh yeah, we're gonna have dinner tonight!" he yelled as he began spinning the reel. He gave a terrific pull and the fish flew out of the water. It was a BIG fish. Damien opened his mouth in awe of the magnificent creature. The fish flew from the sky, heading straight for Damien's mouth.

WAP!

In an instant, Damien realized that the fish was stuck in his throat. He tried to take a breath, but the fish was blocking his airway. He couldn't breathe. He grabbed the fish and yanked it hard, but it was stuck. He pulled as hard as he could, but the fish wouldn't budge. He looked around. Adam and Violet were both gone. None one could help him. No one could save him. He was getting dizzy from lack of air and promptly collapsed to the ground. As his vision began to falter, he realized it was over. His whole life was about to be wasted. He was going to leave behind his girlfriend, his best friend, his parents. Now he would never graduate college and become a powerful Sceptile. He moaned as he closed his eyes, and was still.

"I'm not sure about this." The Flareon stood on the edge of the water, looking at the creaky old boat that her cousin had rented. The Umbreon laughed, "Come on Brittany, it's not THAT bad." The Flareon shivered, she hated getting wet, or even being near water. But she was too afraid to speak up, and gave in to her cousin's idea of a "vacation," a boat trip across the lake. But still Brittany was too timid to speak her mind. "Oh, well-, fine, just don't go to fast…"

A few minutes later Brittany and her cousin were on the water, boating to the other side of the lake. The rocking of the boat was making her sick. Her cousin was in the boat's cabin, steering it. Brittany leaned over the boat's edge, her face was becoming greener. "Hey cous? Can you slow it down?" she shouted. Her cousin was listening to his iPod. "CAN YOU SLOW THE BOAT DOWN?" she shouted again. Her cousin took one of his earbuds out. "You wanna go faster? Alright!" "NO! WAIT!" she shouted as he pulled on the throttle, speed the boat up to 40mph. Out of nowhere, a buoy appeared in front of the boat, and Brittany's cousin spun the wheel, causing a sharp turn, throwing the Flareon off the boat…

Brittany screamed as she flew through the air and landed with a splash in the cold water. "HELP!" she screamed as the boat sped away from her, unaware of what just happened. The water was so cold; it was paralyzing her entire body. "Please…help…" she moaned. Unable to move, she began to sink. Maybe if I spoken up I wouldn't be in this mess… She slipped under the water's surface, slowly sinking to the bottom. Her lungs screamed for air. This was it. This was her last moment alive. She thought of all of the good times in her life, before the water cradled her off into a never ending sleep.

"Alex, can you take your brother to his baseball game?" the Lucario put his Xbox360 game on pause. "Why can't you take him?" he asked. "I have to go shopping, you can spare 15 minutes of your life away from that game system of yours." Alex sighed, "Sam, come on! We're leaving!" The little Riolu came out from his room wearing his baseball cap and his bat. "Okay big brother, let's go!"

The baseball field was a good fifteen minutes from the house, and Alex didn't feel like walking for long, he wanted to get back to his game. They passed by the place where a new skyscraper was being built, when Sam stopped and looked over. The baseball field was just on the other side. "We can cut through the construction site, we'll get there much quicker!" said Sam. Alex thought, while cutting through the construction site could get them to their destination quicker, it was a dangerous place and he didn't want Sam to get hurt. But then again, they could get to the baseball field much faster, and he might have some extra time to play his Xbox360. "Okay, but you have to promise me to be careful."

They climbed over the fence and into the construction zone. Many Fighting-type Pokémon such as Gurdurr and Machoke were lifting steel beams to make a new building. "I don't like this place…" said Sam nervously, clinging to his big brother's leg. Alex rolled his eyes, "You were the one who wanted to go this way." Halfway through the construction field, there was a loud noise from above. "LOOK OUT BELOW!" shouted one of the construction workers. Alex shot his head up, a heavy girder had fallen from the top of the building. And it was going to fall on Sam. "Watch out!" shouted Alex, pushing his brother out of the way. The treacherous "NOOOO!" from Sam was the last thing he heard as the heavy girder fell on top of Alex, crushing him and killing him instantly. His brother stood there, horrified. "ALLEEEEX!"

"Mom! Pleeeeeease?!" begged the Simipour. Her mother sighed. "Shayna, you know how dangerous this neighborhood can be. Besides, there is going to be a major thunderstorm tonight. It's just not safe." Shayna stamped her foot. "MOM! I have been waiting a week for this day! This is my very first date! You know how important first dates are!" Shayna's mother thought. She didn't want her daughter getting hurt, but she knew how important this boy meant to her. She had been talking about him for days. "Oh, alright…just-," "lIwon'ttalktostrangersIhavemycellphoneI'llcall911ifthereisanemergencyI'llbehomebeforecurfewandI'llbesuperextracareful," babbled the Simipour, "Now can I go?" Her mother sighed, "Have fun sweetie." And with those three words Shayna sprinted out the door.

Half-an-hour later Shayna was standing outside of the movie theater, waiting for her date to arrive. "I knew I should've gotten his number when I had the chance," she grumbled. After 45 minutes, she groaned and started to walk off. "Jerk, how could he stand me up like that?!" she groaned angrily. Suddenly there was a crash from the heavens, and a sheet of rain came tumbling down. "Great, I got stood up now I'm gonna get wet."

As Shayna headed for home in the rain, her tail quivering with anger of being stood up. Suddenly three Pokémon, a Gligar, a Krokorok and a Weavile jumped out from the alleyway. "Well, what's a Simipour doing out this late?" said the Gligar menacingly. "Yeah, a pretty face can get hurt in these parts," said the Krokorok. "Please…I…don't want any trouble…" Shayna said nervously. The Weavile approached her, "Come on babe," he said menacingly, "We just wanna have some fun…" "SCALD!" Shayna shouted and sprayed boiling water into the Weavile's face. She then took off, running for her life. "ARGH! GET BACK HERE!" the Weavile shouted.

Shayna ran as fast as she could through the pouring rain, to get away from the bandits. After a few minutes, she stopped at the curb. "Phew, I think I lost them," she panted, leaning on a metal post to catch her breath. Suddenly, a flash of lighting struck the top of the pole, sending a current of electricity coursing through her wet body. All of her muscles tensed, she saw a bright flash of light, and she collapsed to the floor, dead.

A Pikachu was staring through a window of the butcher shop. A Machamp was butchering a juicy plump ham. Zak was a fairly young Pikachu, he was very smart and kind at heart but lately tragic events has caused him to change. His mother became very ill, and at times would spend all day in bed. She had lost her job and they were currently homeless and broke. They barely managed to get enough to eat, as Zak had to work to buy the medicine for his mother. Zak slowly walked into the store, browsing the items. He had no money, and he was hungry. He watched as the Machamp placed the tender ham on the counter, then go to the back to wash his hands. Zak stared at the ham, his tiny tummy grumbling with hunger. He had been living off scraps for the past week. He stared at its tender juiciness, and the temptation overwhelmed him. Out of instinct he grabbed the ham and sprinted out of the door.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE! THIEF!" Zak ran for his life, the Machamp chasing him getting closer and closer. They ran through the streets, running as fast as his little Pikachu body holding a heavy ham could run. This Machamp sure was persistent. Zak suddenly made a turn into an apartment building and started sprinting up the stairs. He "YOU'RE GONNA PAY, YOU THIEF!" shouted the Machamp, following Zak up the stairs. Zak ran as fast as he could up the stairs, and finally made it to the roof. He realized he had just trapped himself. There was no where else to run.

"GET BACK HERE!" Zak looked over his shoulder. The Machamp was only a few feet away.  Zak looked forward. The next building was a good 10 feet away. Zak sighed. He was dead anyways. With a mighty leap, Zak jumped off the building's ledge a mere second before the Machamp could grab him. He sailed a good 5 feet before he started to fall. Zak let go of the ham as he plummeted to the ground 20 feet below, screaming at the top of his lungs. I'm sorry mom, I blew it. Now no one will be there to take care of you… he thought before hitting the hard pavement below.

"My lordship," said a Hippopotas, another one of Arceus's messengers. Arceus looked down. "They have all died sir. They should be ascending into heaven in just a few moments." This is a really good story. And those deaths, how many of them did you get from Spike's 1000 Ways To Die? I know the fishing death was one of them.
